I took the last loop off
If you saw the classic Stargate SG1 episode "Window of Oportunity" where Colonel O’Neill and Teal’c are having their own mini-Groundhog day (same day repeating in a loop) you’ll know what the title of this blog post means!
So basically, even though I am very thankful and very appreciative of my artistic skills, sometimes you have to take a loop off and hit golf balls into a wormhole or something equally not what you normally do. A richer person might have taken a vacation to somewhere exotic or at least different but I can acheive the same results by simply not thinking about my art for a bit.
So basically I haven’t thought about art, not in my usual dreaming way of painting my own version of baroque murals in a huge palace encrusted with gold and sprinkled with semi-nude to completely nude women, anyway.
I have made some art though, it’s not as basic as doodling but I really didn’t plan it out. Here’s a drawing I did, randomly, to inspire myself. It shows some of the motifs I tend to draw often. A motif is just a thing you draw like a girl can be a motif for example.

Motifs I enjoy drawing and draw often, by Darren Daz Cox
Here is my new studio in Pekin Illinois!
and here’s a random painting that i’m working on!

I enjoy a good sheep/goat motif that randomly appears on my canvas!
This one was sketched quickly using a grease pencil and then smudged using semi-dirty brushes dripping with paint thinner!

awesome, I was just thinking about that SG1 episode where Jack O’neil said “I’m taking this loop off” and the Blog Post Promoter randomly (or rather synchronously) put it at the top after my latest post yea!

Stargate is probably the best science fiction series after Firefly. Nice visual effects too..”~
