More is more, at least in my art!
This is my current quantum painting in progress. It is a quantum painting because I have focused my intent while creating it but it is also a collection of random motifs so that my subconscious mind is activated to create the composition rather than it being a product solely from my conscious mind.
What is the intent? To inspire and entertain, to be that ‘decoration’ that Henri Matisse spoke of and like a book you can open and explore with your mind if you choose to. Consider this fine art as you would a coffee table book, existing in a state of potential until the human mind chooses to interpret it…

The working title is More is More, which is an interpolation of the famous Thomas Nawrocki quote of ‘less is more’!
I have added many small motifs towards the bottom of the painting. This is to allow budding art fans to reach out and touch the art and feel the texture as I once did with a Vincent van Gogh painting at the St. Louis Art Museum.
The small motifs are micro compositional and make up the main composition. I want this painting to be seen across the room and as you get closer, it changes, or rather your brain interpolates the shapes differently as your eyes try to focus on a part of the design. This is intentional as I feel that whenever you, for example, see a cloud that looks like an animal, your imagination is being activated and that is a positive thing. I hope this painting will allow many people to have their imaginations activated.
Below is a small, 8×10 inch, charcoal on canvas sketch i did yesterday.
