new oil paintings in progress including The Girl Under The Magic Shiny Moon of Love which is what people search for
Welcome to the art blog of Darren Daz Cox!.jpg)
I’ve been on a creative streak, all these paintings are oil paint on canvas, I’m going to add layers of color over these black and white backgrounds!

here’s a detail shot
On the left is one called The girl in the decaying theatre, when complete it will have the girl as the only thing that looks uncorrupted, this one is a statement on spirituality, how our souls are beyond the entropy of the physical world. On the right is The girl under the moon, it is a fertility goddess (I suppose) but basicaly just a pretty painting that someone will love!

**update – most of these paintings are far further along now, May 2008, than this blog post shows, but this page seems to have been chosen by google to get people to see my website so I would like to invite you to poke around the rest of my blog to see the finished work!** The next Art Alliance of Monmouth County (in Red Bank NJ) show (June 2008) has a theme called "Mood Indigo" so I will enter The Happy Shiny Magic Moon Swan Goddess of Love Oil Painting – as there is nothing more indigo than the sky when the moon just comes up! I might enter this one too as it has the same theme, girls under the moon.

trippy awesome groovy art and design by Darren Daz Cox The world’s best artist!

They are magical. There is a dreamy effect in all of them, that hold my hand, and takes me to a fantasy world.
