Sunny spring days in Keansburg New Jersey just perfect to work on your fine art canvases and quantum physics!

yea! I really love this tree, it provides me with entertainment and inspiration every day!

Ahh beautifull sunny days are when you can spray paint over the blue painters tape on your huge canvases!

Here, I have taken the idea of a gold frame and reversed it, the panels are gold and framed by white space, (where the tape now covers the canvas)!

The blue and white painted parts are oils with a liquid rubber deckled border I am dieing to peel off *must .. .refrain …for the good of the art*

This one I just sprayed the edges gold, I really love these deep canvases but keep fretting about the edges so I figure I’ll just spray them gold, If the future owner wants to nail a wooden frame over them so be it!

I don’t consider myself an ‘abstract’ painter like say Pablo Picasso, but I do enjoy randomness and the potential butterfly effect of spontanious motifs. Who knows what this will turn out to be? Who knows what it will make someone think and where those thoughts will lead! But one thing I do know, my intentions are for the art to inspire and be treasured by the owner and quantum physics proves that such intentions do have an effect.

Some people think that ‘the observer effect’ is nonsence, after all, how could just looking at something affect what it does? But, time and again, scientificaly, this has been proven to be the case, and more than that, the thoughts of the observer can affect the outcome in a positive or negative way. Think that the ‘home town advantage’ is just a myth? Not really, the quantity of fans rooting for the team to win, their intentions, really do affect reality.

I might not be a scientist but I am experimenting with these principles of quantum physics in my art, hey, someone has to do it and if not me then who else is exploring quantum physics in their fine art out there?

Perhaps i should do a conciousness experiment, have two similar looking paintings but one i will think negative thoughts while i paint it and the other positive and see which one people ‘like’ better…

Ever knew who was on the phone before they spoke? Looked up to see someone staring at you from across the room? Had a precognitive dream? Out of body experience? All these things have scientific explanations these days, the science you see on the "news" is usually far far out of date, heck they still tell you that global warming is caused by greenhouse gasses when NASA itself has confirmed that the whole solar system is heating up, even Pluto which is moving away from the sun, so the explanation isn’t even that the sun is getting hotter!

Anyway, as Monty Python says, now for something completely different! Well not really, it’s my art, on canvas with positive intentions, but it’s completed and that is different!

  1. Love the tree too! Look around on the ground after a strong wind/storm and see if any lichens got blown off the tree. Lichens are so cool in that they represent the perfect relationship – a synergistic one! Where one doesn’t sap off the other solely, but each need and use each other to live! The perfect relationship! Algae and a tree fungus teaching us how to live!

  2. Daz, I googled Quantum Art the other night, right after the birds video. There were a couple of interesting sites that came up. Nothing that even remotly holds a candle to you, but interesting just the same. Check it out if you haven’t.
I would love to know how the experiment of trying to paint with your feeling into a painting. I would be surprised if you culd actually get them to come out the same.
I was tried to duplicate a waterfall painting that I had done at an earlier time period in my life when emotions and situations were different. the colors keept coming out different. One was happier, more vibrant, one darker, more serene. They just wouldn’t match.
