The coffee shop is the office of the future
You might not realize that this long haired, Clash shirt wearing guy sitting in your local coffee shop working on his MacBook Pro is a professional but I’m just a laid back example of the way the world is changing.
With Wi-Fi and the recession it’s people like me who will be making the media you see and hear in your local communities as we can do the same work as a company that has to pay for a parking lot.
Robert A. Heinlein wrote the blueprint for the modern professional in his famous quote, "A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.
-Robert A. Heinlein
Ok, so that’s a poetic example from the Dean of Science Fiction but don’t you think you’d get better results from your creative team if they are creative 24/7 instead of 9-5 on weekdays? Well I do and that’s why I do what I do.
I love to draw, and have a unique style that appeals to many people.

I also love Photoshop and enjoy taking my sketches to the next level with this tool.
"Allegory of our love for Tech" Pencil sketch enhanced in Photoshop by Darren Daz Cox.
I also love graphic design and while I can do typical design, I prefer the projects where I can get paid to stretch my creative talents.
"Tech This Out" working flyer for 11×17 inch posters by Riverfront Media of Illinios. I’m hoping we can put information about the Susan G. Komen search for the cure on the back of the poster since we can print our own double sided posters and would like to tie in our event with a charity, because we can, and because the event in Mother’s Day weekend and breasts are important, more important than an I-Pod!
Even though I am confident in my graphic design abilities I do not limit myself to being just a graphic designer as a thrifty client would rather have the project taken care of with as few people to pay as possible.
So here is the radio commercial we have made for Independence Media to play on the four stations they own in the Peoria Illinios market. I am playing roving reporter Scoop McMacintosh and Scott (DJ Disaster) is playing Broadmore Caster the technology news anchor. http://illinoisvideo.info/techthisout.mp3
It amazing what you can do with the right tools and the confidence that you can make something interesting. In addition to all those things I have taken it upon myself to use the most modern methods of communication, such as this nice SEO tweaked blog, to advertise for the client. So here is some of the information on the event we at Riverfront Media are promoting.

I don’t have hang ups about money, it’s just a tool, and making it is a goal. My intent, however, is to create the media that I want to see and hear, things that are unusual and if possible, inspirational.
